Attadale Estate Hydro Scheme – Site Visit

Cleantech Civils enjoying the Scottish sun on the Attadale Estate during a site visit on the new Hydro Scheme for Gilkes Energy.

This project involved Loch an Laoigh Hydro is a 1MW, low-head, high-flow project incorporating a single intake with a small amount of storage, large bore pipeline and a Gilkes Francis turbine.  Cleantech Civils laid & commissioned the new 1.2km of 1200mm dia HDPE over the challenging terrain across the Attadale Estate.

The Uisge Dubh Hydro is a 2MW, low-head, high-flow project incorporating twin intakes, large bore pipeline and twin Gilkes Francis turbines.  Cleantech Civils laid & commissioned the new 2.4km of 1600mm dia GRP over the challenging terrain across the Attadale Estate.


Cleantech were proud to be involved with helping to deliver & make a small but significant step towards our national renewable energy targets.

Best Monthly Safety Observation!

Cleantech Civils Zero in on Safety – “Best Safety Observation April 2018”

In promotion of our policy of Zero Compromise towards Safety, we wish to congratulate Damian Skoczylas, Cleantech Civils for winning best Safety Observation for the month of April.

Damien was awarded the monthly prize for working safely and always ensuring the safety and welfare of others while demonstrating a relentless progressive attitude to work based safety on-site aided by the use of our interactive mWorkerCIS app.

Heronsgate – Nearing Completion!!

Heronsgate, London  – Construction progress nearing completion.

New pipe work in place and Live Connections almost complete. Final commissioning and testing of the New Infrastructure to be completed by end of May – Old Pump chambers can the be decommissioned and our client Affinity Water will have a brand new state of the art Pumping facility feeding North to Boxted and Cholesbury Regions.

Williamstown Community Development!!

Williamstown tidy towns committee approached Cleantech Civils for contribution, to aid the committees good work in the local area.
Cleantech were working on a new pipelaying project which would cause considerable distruption through Williamstown.
Cleantech were happy to contribute to the committee as they were very forth coming and agreeable giving the disruption caused to businesses and town in general by the pipelaying process.


CSO repairs and remote sensor installation

#Cleantech were engaged through their Rural Framework with Scottish Water to complete installation of remote sensing
telemetry, internal weir repairs and cleaning to a combined sewer overflow (CSO) located in the garden of a residential
property. The works involved confined space entry to gain access to complete the repair and cleaning works.
The telemetry sensor was installed and commissioned within the CSO chamber with the control and telemetry system being
located in a Haldo Pillar installed on the footpath. All works were completed on schedule.


Upgrade Work Continues!!

Upgrade work continues, with the new floor slab poured to the Sludge Holding Tank!

Concrete Structure Completed with a New Cast Insitu Concrete Selector Tank Channel.

Poured & Finished in harsh weather conditions!!!
